L.A. Art Walk

Hipsters unite.  Tid bits from tonight's downtown adventure.  Taking a breather from my studies to bask in the creativity and talent of Los Angelians.  Gracing this city is life full of absolute culture and diversity and tonight it came alive.  As much as I love editorials and spreads, I mainly look to the streets when it comes to style.  There's just something so raw and honest about personal taste and it definitely says a lot about who you are. Basically, the night was overflowing with personality I almost drowned (there were seriously a lot of people).  The bf and I along with some friends indulged in the best collaboration in the world of all that is good in life: the tornado sausage.  Absolute heaven hugged by a thinly sliced potato spiral deep-fried to a T.  So good my heart skipped a beat.
Also booth after booth of hand-crafted jewelry was much to overwhelming for me to take in all at once. I came across rings + neclaces made completely from LEGO (a-m-a-z-i-n-g), utensils, cattle labels (yes, actual cow tags), old hotel keys, stone-encrusted bullets, and on my next wish list, a wolf/canine-like tooth.  Oh and that detailed flower engraved leather clutch! I regret not coming home with it.  :(

Indeed, a much needed night.  Can't wait for next month.  If you're ever in the area, this happens on the second Thursday of every month.  Be sure to check out the art galleries that open up their work for the night, food trucks lined across parking lots, musical performances, and everything else in between.  It's too good to pass up (like that clutch) and then you'll regret it (like I did). Sigh.
