With my departure to Beijing underway (less than a month!!), I've been trying to save up every penny and morsel of my earnings just so I can happily satisfy myself with countless food stands and market purchases.  Before ascending into frugalville, I had had had to get in a quick shopping fix with this Wildfox sweater.  I've had this for some time now, but its been chilling in my closet due to the not-so-chilling weather lately.  It is still summer after all, but what's summer without a little fall purchase? Especially a foxy one. Also had my eyes on this (it's soo soft) and a million other things, but we'll save that for a rainy day.

In the meantime, give a listen to what I would give to frolic freely in an open wheat-y field. Miike Snow, man of the hour, you have been on repeat 24/7.  Preach on my good man.

Rainbow lens flares for the win! With summer at my feet means a lot of time on my hands.  So I got busy. With my sewing machine of course.  I picked this dress up some time ago from a local thrift store and have been itching to do something with it ever since.  These recent heat waves called for some skin exposure which proved to be extremely efficient for those summer breezes and extremely painful for sitting in a smoldering leather car seat. No bueno.

Apologies for being mia for so long. These past weeks have been a culmination of events from finals, graduation, and moving that have literally consumed every second of my time.  Shortly thereafter, I experienced a shopping withdrawal which resulted in three new pairs of shoes.  Holy smokes. 

Well, meet my new best friend.  These Gee Wa Wa platforms feel like I'm walking on air.  Light and fluffy covered in leather and suede.  Best friends don't get any better than this.

This is one of my more 'gathered' looks.  On most days, more often than not, dishevelment is the case.  However I had an important meeting earlier that day and needed to look 'presentable.' haha If I had the choice, I would've thrown on an unbearably oversized sweater and paired it with some combat boots, which I eventually ended up wearing later in the week, ha.  Since we were in the area, the bf and I walked through Olvera St. shortly thereafter.  I was on a man hunt for the perfect rosary, but being picky always means coming out emptyhanded :(

Sun bubble popped! For the most part at least. Some night shots from this weekend that I finally got a chance to post.  Saturday was indeed a good day considering I walked out the door wearing everything my favorites out of my closet and that of my boyfriend's.  Literally from head to toe.  By day, we went to the Getty Center to submerge ourselves in their cultural photography exhibit and afterwards made way for some Mediterranean food, which I am not fond of at all, but he was adamant we go and I was starving, so I reluctantly agreed.  Thereafter he made up his poor choice in cuisine by taking me to Syrup in downtown L.A.  for some dessert and my all time favorite, can never have enough of, creme brulee.  Following dessert bliss, we stopped by Vault XXI, a lounge for a friend's birthday and afterwards ventured into the streets of Little Tokyo for some photo fun.  Definitely turned into an unintentional wholesome cultural day.
Good nonetheless.
Currently, I'm in the process of some more DIYs, but everything crafty has been put on hiatus :(
Lately all my time and energy have been consumed by papers, readings, and applying for internships.  Hopefully I'll have something to show for it all when the smoke clears.

I can't believe it's come to Thursday already.  This week has flown by like no other, but I am certainly ecstatic that I'm done with classes for the rest of the week.  However, the end of one week brings me closer to midterms.  Definitely not looking forward to this.  Trying to take each day as it is, but lately it's been so stressful, I've practically been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Not attractive.

 Sigh.  I need some retail therapy.  It always makes me feel better.
